Superficial Chemical Peels A superficial chemical peel removes the top layer of the skin. Superficial chemical peels can be performed with glycolic acid, salicylic acid or lactic acid. This procedure, which is performed by our aesthetician, causes minimal discomfort and requires no anesthesia. This type of peel has a quick recovery time, allowing the patient to return to work, or to daily activities immediately. Superficial chemical peels improve acne, fine lines, skin tone, "liver spots" and sun damaged skin. Microdermabrasion Microdermabrasion is a new non-invasive technique. A jet of sand-like crystals is used to rub off the top layer of the skin. A controlled vacuum removes the crystals and the dead skin particles. There is virtually no pain, no anesthesia is required and practically no recovery time is involved. The procedure, which is performed by our aesthetician, smoothes surface lines, improves acne, cleans pores, gives more even skin tone and reduces sun damage. BOTOX® Cosmetic BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein. It is a nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines and wrinkles. During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those stubborn lines and wrinkles. Sclerotherapy Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to destroy unsightly spider veins in the legs. Spider veins are blue and red dilated blood vessels. A fine needle is used to inject a sclerosing solution into the blood vessel, which irritates the vessel lining causing the blood to clot. The vessel turns into scar tissue and fades. Several treatments may be needed for the best results. Restylane Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin, to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. |
